How do I prevent plants from growing on a swimming pool?

The swimming pool is above the ground. The plants were mostly vines. The pool has also had plants lean towards the pool.

This makes it more difficult to swim and damages the metal of the pool.

I have nothing against plants.

How do I prevent plants from growing on a swimming pool?
Maybe trim the plants back a bit ... or maybe add canes and tie the plants up, so they grow up, rather than spreading out.

Or just get rid of the vines and change for a differnet plant which dosent spread out ...
Reply:you need to trim around the pool area weekly and make sure the chlorine levels are correct. Also getting a cover for the pool helps
Reply:I would suggest a non toxic weed killwe that home deopt or any other hardware store sells. =D
Reply:Post, " NO PLANTS " signs in conspicuous places all around the pool area...It"s kind of of a "no-brainer", don't ya think ???
Reply:Just dig them out. and keep everything around the pool neat and tidy, don't let them grow, get them out immediately. I hope this sounds reasonable.
