When we buy small plants, we find them full of flowers and the large root sytsem compared to the one we grow at home from seeds?
How to make plants grown at home to flower early like commercially available plants?
Fertilise with potassium. It encourages flowering.
Reply:well my secrets to growing the best and most healthiest and biggest plants are yousing non-commercial products , i have a compost basket in my kitchen all puree and scarps from fruits, vegetables , meat and fish , it takes about a week fro the basket to get full of fresh puree and scraps then i take it out to my garden to nicely fertelize the soil and pour it out , then i hose the fertelizer so it can nicely seep in with it's nutrition and vitamins , in the mean type the main ingridients to growing beautiful gardens are sun , and rich , moist soil packed with nutrition and vitamins , it looks like moist cake , trust me it's not good for eating , don't youse commercial growth formula it actually kills your plants more than it helps them , hope i helped , Good Luck !
Reply:Are you willing to spend the extra time and money required to produce the better plants. I grow from seed, I may have smaller plants but far more than I could afford to buy. Usually the smaller but more catch up with the fewer larger plants. So I would have just as good a show of flowers in the end. You decide.
Reply:build a compost pile and make a small worm bin! add compost each year. here are some plans for a worm bin.
look into adding organic additives to your soil- i add greensand, rock phosphate or bone meal, some other things too. do some reading online. I also use Alaska Morbloom.

Reply:You would need to build a structure (greenhouse) and install the equipment to be able to constantly control the environment and humidity.
Reply:build a hot house and over dose the young plants with fertilizer
