What kind of plants/flowers are good to plant if you live where deer are?

I live in Central TX. What kids of plants or flowers are good in this region when your home borders a park with lots of deer in it.

What kind of plants/flowers are good to plant if you live where deer are?
In Central Texas there are several choices. I live here and have a lot of deer. Mountain laurel and sage are a couple of deer proof shrubs or bushes. Lantana is a flowering low growing plant that is deer proof and comes in several colors. If you like roses you're out of luck. Roses are one of their favorites. They also like Red Tip Photinias. Your best bet is to visit a nearby nursery and get a list from them, decide which ones you like, and go from there. One thing to remember is that there are a lot of beautiful wild flowers such as blue bonnets and Indian paint brush which grow here. They have survived because the deer don't eat them and they are beautiful. The Lady Bird Johnson Wild Flower Center off of Mopac and Slaughter in South Austin is a good source for info and seed, if you live close to Austin, and has beautiful displays of Texas wildfowers. If you're wanting to grow a vegetable garden an electric fence is inexpensive, easy to build and supplies are available at any lumber or home center. The deer learn to avoid them very quickly. Good Luck.
Reply:Don't, unless you just like feeding the deer.
Reply:What the deer ate in PA: hydrangea, tulips, all wildflowers, grass, honeysuckle leaves, all the herbs and vegetables.

What they didn't eat: holly, forsythia, rhododendrons, day lilies, geraniums, phlox.

Does that help?
Reply:I live much farther north but there are certain plants that deer %26amp; Rabbits dont like to munch on.....

Daffodils are great (But you plant those in fall)

Stella D'Oro lilys (Bloom all summer)
Reply:Daffodils are poisonous.. nothing eats them.... so that's a good spring flower. or just get a dog that barks at the deer, they wont come into your yard.... or feed them so they have something to eat besides your flowers.
